Latif Alam Butt Sahib was martyred in Kamra, district Okara on 15th October 2014.
An unknown person had called him in the street and as soon as Latif sb turned around, he was shot four or five times in the chest. Upon hearing the news his son Zeeshan rushed over and the emergency services also arrived but Latif Alam sb was martyred on his way to the hospital.
Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V (atba) mentioned in his Friday sermon on 17th October 2014,
“Alam sahib had served jamaat in many capacities. He had offered his home up as the local namaaz centre and was deeply devoted to Khilafat. Huzoor praised his courage by relating an incident which occurred in 2007 when he fought off an assailant who tried to shoot him but the. Bullet became stuck. He is survived by his wife, one daughter Iram Waseem and four sons; Khurram Butt, Zeeshan Butt, Umer Butt and Ali Butt.“
