Khushab; July 30, 2022:Malik Ilyas Awan, Vice President Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Punjab sent an application to the Deputy Commissioner of District Khushab asking him to expel all Ahmadis from the district. We provide a picture of the original (in vernacular), and translate its content below:
To Deputy Commissioner Khushab
Subject: According to the Constitution of Pakistan, provision of security to Qadianis in Joharabad city is a joke with the Constitution; it should be stopped.
Respected Sir
It is submitted that Qadianis cannot worship freely in the Islamic state of Pakistan. The government of Bhutto Shaheed granted them space in Chenab Nagar, for a specified period. They cannot worship at any other location.
I submit that the State of Pakistan is an Islamic State created in the name of Allah and His Beloved Messenger, whereas Ahmadis offer Friday prayers at the house of Tariq Virk in New Satellite Town, Joharabad and preach their faith, which violates the law of the land and the Islamic law. Our policemen are posted there for security; what would they think, that they are guarding the lives of opponents of End of Prophethood, or whether it is loyalty to the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.). Secondly, it has a negative impact on our children.
I request that their security should be terminated forthwith, and an inquiry should be held. Those who do not believe in the End of Prophethood should be expelled from the district. Thank you.
