Rawalpindi; January 31, 2023:  A writ petition was made with Lahore High Court (Rawalpindi Bench) regarding ‘blasphemy material on social media’, against Ahmadis. Justice Abdul Aziz was informed that the accused had still not been arrested, so the court issued arrest orders. Accordingly, an FIR team raided Rabwah. The court had required the DPO Chiniot’s presence, who had rendered his own report. The accused, Mr. Saleemuddin, in the meantime had been granted protective bail by a Karachi court. As such, when this was conveyed to LHC on November 25, 2022, Justice Aziz remarked to the effect that in that case that it was up to that court, and the case was for the FIA Cyber Crimes Wing Lahore to pursue. The accused felt that this issue had nearly concluded.

            But no, it was taken up again by the Rawalpindi Bench of Justice Abdul Aziz on January 25, where the complainant against raised the issue of ‘no arrest’ of the accused. Justice Aziz sent for the Addl. Director FIA Cyber Crimes Wing, Lahore on January 27 and questioned him over the arrest.

                The Addl. Director was again present in the Court on January 31 to render his report on the ‘arrest’ issue. Justice Abdul Aziz said that he was granting 15 more days for the arrest, thereafter he expected the good news of the arrest.
