Thattha Joiya, District Sargodha; April 6, 2024: Tehreek-e-Labbaik activists held a meeting with the DPO and SSP of Sargodha in the DPO office. During the meeting, Tehreek-e-Labbaik demanded the demolition of the minaret built on the Ahmadiyya mosque in Thattha Joiya, and the removal of the Kalima Tayyiba (the Islamic creed) from tombstones. The DPO assured them of the removal of the minaret and the “Kalima Tayyiba”. Tehreek-e-Labbaik audaciously told the administration that if there were any laxity from the administration’s side, they would themselves take action.
Previously, on January 4, 2024, the police erased the Kalima Tayyiba written on the Ahmadiyya place of worship in Thattha Joiya and the words “Masha Allah” written outside the house of the president of the local Ahmadiyya community. They erased “Bismillah” from another place as well.
