Khakhi, District Multan; December 8, 2023: SHO Police Station Sadar Shujaabad came over and told Ahmadis to tear down the niche and efface the Kalima written on their mosque. Ahmadis told him that they would not do that themselves. Later, the district Ahmadiyya Amir spoke to the SHO who said that there is a threat to peace; evil-doers are making mischief under this excuse and are planning to take over the mosque.
Thereafter, on December 9, 2023, a police contingent came and erased the Kalima and told Ahmadis that prayers should not be offered there unless the security instructions are followed. Two Ahmadis are permanent residents in the locality. Repairs to the mosque are underway, and one policeman is always there on duty.
