Garhi Shahu, Lahore; February 15, 2022: In July 2021, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, an anti-Ahmadiyya activist Ali Jassim Butt Advocate applied to police for registration of FIR against Mr. Abid Naseem Chughtai, an Ahmadi, and some unknown Ahmadis for allegedly offering Eid prayers in Darul Zikr Lahore.
For good reason the police did not register an FIR. So, Butt filed a petition in a court, under sections 22-A and 22-B.
In pursuant to the order under section(s) 22-A and 22-B, the Garhi Shahu police registered an FIR against Mr. Abid Naseem Chughtai and unknown Ahmadis under PPC 298-C with FIR No. 122 on February 15, 2022.
On February 16, a police officer came to Darul Zikr and inquired about Mr. Chughtai.
Ali Jassim is a mischief-monger; he is promoting sectarianism in Lahore and is holding the administration hostage.
