Religious challenges in District Attock

District Attock (Punjab); May 2024: In April, the gravestones of two Ahmadis were damaged, and a few others desecrated in Ahmadiyya graveyard in Kasraan. On 7 May 2024, the administration summoned Ahmadi members to Pindi Gheb Tehsil; the opposing party was also present. The administration demanded the removal of Islamic inscriptions from the gravestones. Ahmadis took firm stance that they would neither carry out such an act nor permit any civilian to do so.

The opponents further demanded that Ahmadis be forbidden to undertake Qurbani (animal sacrifices on Eid).
