Pind Dadan Khan, District Jhelum; June 2022: The police pressurized Mr. Wasim Mukhtar and Mr. Sohail Ahmad, Ahmadis to remove tombstones from the graves of their relatives. They were also told to demolish minarets from the Ahmadiyya mosque. Police did his on behest of a TLP mulla, and Ahmadi elders weren’t taken on board.
Before this, Naveed Shahzad, a TLP activist, filed a complaint with authorities that Ahmadis were building minarets in their worship place and Islamic phrases are written on Ahmadis’ tombstones. The DSP sent for Ahmadis and told them to remove the Kalima (Islamic creed) from their place of worship.
Ahmadis had to comply with these absurd and unfair orders.
