Anti-Ahmadi gathering leads to killing of innocent man in Bannu KP
Sahibzada Daud Ahmad son of Sahibzada Muhammad Shafee was martyred on the 23rd of January 2012 leaving behind his wife Amatul Hafeez Sahiba.
Prior to his martyrdom, on the 17th of January 2012, members of the Khatme Nabuwat party carried out a gathering in which a lot of hate and insults were made towards the Jamaat.
On the 23rd of January 2012, Sahibzada Daud Ahmad Sahib was going to the market for some essentials. It was around 9:45 am when two unidentified motorcyclists carried out a drive-by shooting, killing Daud Sahib there and then. These two people then fled the scene.
Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V (atba) mentioned in his Friday sermon on 27th January 2012,
“Bashir Ahmad Sahib was very well-mannered and full of emotions. He was obsessed with spreading the message of Islam and Ahmadiyyat and would do so whenever he would get an opportunity. He was extremely brave and didn’t show any hesitance after his son-in-law and son were martyred one after the other.
It is reported that on the day of his martyrdom, Bashir Sahib said to his son that, ‘we will not leave this town, rather it is our duty to protect ourselves’.
Once, during his civil service, Bashir Sahib was posted to Saudi Arabia. However, there was a condition that he had to remove the name of Ahmadiyyat from his passport. He said I cannot do that, even if that means that I do not go.“
