Rabwah; January 2023: We reported earlier in our monthly report for December 2022 that such a case had been registered. One of the nominees Mr. Mubarak Ahmad Sani was arrested subsequently on January 7, 2023 from his home in Rabwah. He was sent to Jhang Jail after judicial remand. His bail application is under process in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Lalian, District Chiniot.
The opponents petitioned against the verdict of his judicial remand; they would rather have him in police custody. They gathered a number of clerics and anti-Ahmadi activists in the court to pressurize the proceedings and made hateful speeches. They demanded that the case be transferred to the anti-terrorism court. Their demand was malicious as well as ridiculous. The court dismissed their petition.
